How Wrixle MicroāConsulting Works
Ready to Work Together?
If youāre ready to rethink, refine, or elevate your business, letās make change happenāstarting with a conversation.
I help you to rethink and redesign:
-
Ideas arenāt inherently valuable to the market ā they need the right business model around them. The model is the structural scaffolding that turns vision into value, showing how your business creates, delivers, and captures that value, and aligning it with a market need or opportunity.
I help you visualise this big picture: customer types, activities, partners, revenue streams, and more ā all in one place.
Visualising the model reveals whatās really happening and where change might be needed. And as your business grows or shifts, it evolves with you, becoming a living tool for alignment, and smarter decisions.
-
Success isn't just about selling more. It's about offering something people genuinely value.
Small businesses often focus on delivery and marketing, but give less attention to the design of the products and services themselves.
Through structured analysis, I help you take a fresh look at those offerings, who it serves, and why customers choose it. We'll identify opportunities to strengthen existing offers, create new ones, retire outdated services, and build a more coherent portfolio that delivers value for both customers and the business.
-
Customer experience is about how your business actually works in practice. A deliberately designed customer experience is a strategic differentiator in a crowded market.
Every interaction shapes how customers perceive your business, from first contact through to delivery and ongoing support.
I help you examine the customer journey from their perspective, identifying the touchpoints, interactions, and moments that shape their perception of your business.
By uncovering areas of friction, inconsistency, or missed opportunity, we'll identify practical changes that make it easier to work with you, strengthen trust, and create a more memorable experience.
-
Most businesses have a handful of core workflows that determine how work moves through the organisation, from attracting customers and securing sales, through delivery, finance, people, and technology. These workflows exist whether they've been deliberately designed or not.
I help you visualise, understand and examine these end-to-end flows, identifying where work slows down, handovers break down, decisions become bottlenecked, or effort is being spent in the wrong places.
We focus on the bigger picture: how your business operates as a system, how work moves through your business and whether your operating model supports the outcomes you're trying to achieve. From that understanding, opportunities for improvement become much easier to see.
-
Most small businesses think about people and manual effort long before they think about technology. Yet digital tools are simply equipment that helps us work faster, more consistently, and at greater scale.
I help you think strategically about digital capability and examine how technology supports your business strategy.
Weāll explore how information moves through your business, where people are relying on spreadsheets, email, memory, or manual workarounds, and where opportunities exist to simplify, integrate, automate, or redesign the way work gets done.
The goal is to make better use of technology, and define a toolkit that supports growth, improves consistency, and reduces unnecessary effort, maximising in the investment in digital capability.
-
You may already know what could be improved. The harder question is what should be tackled next, and in what order.
I'll help you make sense of competing opportunities and decide what should happen next.
We'll explore where effort will create the greatest value, what can wait, and what should happen first.
Turn ideas, challenges, and ambitions into a practical roadmap for the next period of focused action, whether that's the next month, quarter, or beyond.
Youāll always leave with tools, frameworks, and a co-created roadmap you can carry forwardāon your own terms.
This is consulting designed to empower you to think strategically, visualise your business clearly, and choose solutions with confidence - not just manage a to-do list. Every method and tool is shared openly, so you can keep building independently.
We will work visually and collaboratively.
Using visual and analytical tools to expose whatās working, whatās misaligned, what needs a re-design, and whatās hiding in plain sight.
Through our co-creative sessions, we unearth:
Opportunities for differentiation and innovation
Inefficiencies in workflows, communication, or systems
Emerging or latent customer needs or adjacent segments you may service
Untapped potential within your value proposition, revenue streams, partnerships, or assets
The most high-impact priorities that contribute best to your strategic themes and objectives
Misalignments between goals, operations, or customer expectations
Readiness for scaling
Promising ideas ready to be tested, piloted, or taken through proof-of-concept
Insight into how external factors might shape whatās next
You donāt need to know all this upfront. Iāll help you uncover what matters most for your context, and where to focus.

WHY I DO THIS
I believe small businesses already hold a unique combination of strengths: original ideas, the energy of passion and purpose, and the agility to adapt quickly and make bold moves.
Whatās often missing is the confidence that comes from thinking things through; clearly, strategically, and with the right tools.
Small businesses and solo professionals deserve access to the same strategic tools used by larger organisations, not to behave like them, but to make informed, intentional decisions about their own direction.
I also believe there isnāt one definition of success in a small business. Some want growth. Some want independence, stability, flexibility, or creative control. All are valid, but each demands different choices, trade-offs, and ways of thinking.
But every version of success still rests on the same fundamentals: offering something desirable, delivering it effectively, and doing so in a way that is sustainable for the business.
Without that grounding, itās easy to drift towards someone elseās model of success, or to make decisions that donāt quite fit what the business is trying to achieve.
My background is in change and strategy implementation. Iāve seen how powerful these tools are, and micro-consulting is my way of making high-level insight available in a format that works for small businesses. It is fast, focused, and designed to help you think strategically, align your choices with what you actually want from your business, and build the confidence to stand behind those decisions.
Itās about winning at being in business ā whatever that looks like for you.
āSmall opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises.ā
FAQs.
-
Usually with a conversation. Weāll talk about your goals, challenges, and where youāre stuck.
From there, we can decide if a micro-consulting session makes sense.
-
Mapping a customer experience or a single business process can often be completed in one session. Some tools (like mapping the business model) can take several sessions to explore in full detail. In the initial conversation, I will advise on likely timescalesf or your need.
Youāll get a clear, actionable outcome from each session, as well as recommendations for actions and priorities.
Youāre always welcome to continue independently, or book further sessions for deeper insight and support.
-
While we dig into strategy, operations, technology, and customer experience, there are areas I intentionally leave to other specialists:
Financial data analysis: No budgets, cash flow, valuation, accounting, or financial deep-dives.
Team or individual performance reviews: No HR diagnostics, performance management, or coaching.
Legal or regulatory compliance: No audits or advice on legal issues or risks.
Formal marketing execution: No marketing mix, content production, SEO strategy, or campaign delivery.
Operational management: No day-to-day management or direct oversight.
Tech troubleshooting or implementation: No software configurations, system fixes, or vendor/platform recommendations.
If you need support in any of these areas, Iām happy to recommend trusted professionals who specialise in them, as well as many other, more specialist fields.
-
Each service is priced per micro-consulting session, delivered in focused 2-hour blocks.
We start with a call to explore your challenges. Based on that, I recommend the most effective service for your needs.
Youāll always know the cost upfront, with payment made in advance. No hidden fees, no ongoing commitments.
-
For micro-consulting, I donāt offer retainers. My services are designed to be modular and flexible, so you can engage with exactly what you need, when you need it. Thereās no long-term commitment, just clear, focused work that fits your goals.
Should you be interested in multiple sessions, I offer bundles.
-
I donāt act as a tech consultant. However, what I do bring is strong experience in helping micro and small businesses make effective use of the tools available to them, whether that means getting more value from what they already own, or understanding where genuine gaps exist.
Many micro-businesses are either underātooled, or have spent on software that has never been properly embedded into dayātoāday work. I help you work out what support your business actually needs, how tools should be used in practice, and what is getting in the way.
From there, I can help you define clear requirements, make sense of options, and have more productive conversations with IT specialists or software vendors.
Note that I am not associated or affiliated with any technology providers, giving me full impartiality.
-
Yes. Yes. These short, highāimpact engagements work well for startāups and earlyāstage businesses that want an external, experienced lens at a critical point.
Microāconsulting is especially effective when you are looking to commercialise a new idea, product, or service, and want to set the business up on a more robust footing from the outset. I help founders stressātest the shape of the business, clarify how value will actually be created and delivered, and avoid building unnecessary complexity too early.
This is not about business planning or pitch decks. It is about making deliberate choices, establishing sensible structures, and getting onto a better road before habits, processes, or costs become hard to unwind.
-
No ā my approach is designed for those who are self-motivated but want clarity, structure, and smarter ways to achieve their goals and stay on track themselves. If you need check-ins or someone to help holding you accountable, my service may not be the right fit.
I can make some recommendations for services that may be better suited to these needs.
