-
Project or programme management: I do not take responsibility for leading the initiative, managing the plan or directing the delivery team.
A methodology or compliance audit: I do not assess adherence to internally-defined project processes or certify compliance with PRINCE2, Agile or another delivery methodology.
Delivery remediation: The review helps leaders understand what is affecting delivery confidence and where attention is needed, rather than taking ownership of corrective action or delivery outcomes.
The purpose is to provide objective insight into the factors affecting delivery performance, enabling leaders to take informed action to address risks, direct attention where most needed, strengthen delivery conditions, and provide a view on which actions are most likely to restore momentum and improve outcomes.
Suitable Engagements
The Delivery Assurance Review is typically most effective where:
ā The initiative is strategically important, and represents a significant investment of time, money or organisational attention.
ā Multiple stakeholders or workstreams are involved.
ā Leadership decisions depend on successful delivery.
ā Independent challenge would be valuable and would improve decision-making.

Cost Variables
Varies according to scope & complexity of the initiative, stakeholder landscape and maturity of delivery environment. Additional considerations which may attract additional fees include travel and extended stakeholder groups requiring additional workshops.
Less Suitable Engagements
The review may not represent good value where:
ā The initiative is very small relative to the cost of the review.
ā The project is nearing completion and there is limited opportunity to influence outcomes.
ā Leaders have already decided what action is needed regardless of the findings.
ā Immediate intervention is required and undertaking a review would delay essential action.
ā It is routine operational responsibilities described as a project.
